Baosteel completes pipe deliveries to Liwan 3-1 gas project in South China Sea

Major Chinese steelmaker Baosteel Group has announced that it has delivered 4,500 mt of X65 submerged arc welded seamless line pipe and 43,000 mt of large diameter longitudinally welded line pipe to the Liwan 3-1 gas project in the South China Sea, the largest offshore gas field in China.

At the end of 2009, Baosteel won the tender to supply X65 submerged arc welded seamless line pipe to the Liwan 3-1 gas project. In November 2010, the company signed the contract for the supply of large diameter longitudinally welded line pipe for the same project.
