Azerbaijan sees 18.8 percent drop in Jan-Oct ferrous metal imports

In January-October this year, Azerbaijan saw an 18.8 percent year-on-year decrease in its ferrous metal imports to 358,488 mt, valued at $180.503 million.

Meanwhile, during the first 10 months of this year, Azerbaijan's ferrous metal exports amounted to 133,164 mt, valued at $61.587 million.

As of November 1 2010, the share of imports of ferrous metals and ferrous metal products in the country's total imports ($5.137 billion) amounted to 12.27 percent (as of October 1 it stood at 12.74 percent). Meanwhile, the share of exports of these products in Azerbaijan's total exports ($17.366 billion) was 0.53 percent (as of October 1 the share stood at 0.55 percent).
