Istanbul, Turkey-based wire mesh producer Ayes Çelik has announced that it will invest $2.03 million (TRY 3 million) in its plant in Izmir, Turkey for wire and wire-based product production.

Ayes Çelik officials told SteelOrbis that the company has acquired 4,000 m2 of land neighboring its 10,000 m2 plant in the Kemalpasa district for the investment, pointing out that the motivation for the venture is to increase the output to satisfy the increasing overseas demand.

The equipment for the project will be supplied by local equipment provider Meteor Makine. Following the investment, the annual output capacity of the company will exceed 100,000 mt.
