Average HRB 400 rebar price in China down 5.2 percent in early July
In early July (July 1-10) this year, the average prices in China of 16-25 mm HRB 400 rebar, 6.5 mm HPB 300 wire rod, 20 mm Q235 common medium plate, 3 mm Q235 hot rolled sheet, 219 mm x 6 mm seamless pipes and 5 mm x 5 mm angles were recorded at RMB 2,029.1/mt ($327.3/mt), RMB 2,154.4/mt ($347.5/mt), RMB 2,159.2/mt ($348.3/mt), RMB 2,264.8/mt ($365.3/mt), RMB 3,209.4/mt ($517.6/mt) and RMB 2,546.9/mt ($410.8/mt), down RMB 112.3/mt ($18.1/mt), RMB 90.0/mt ($14.5/mt), RMB 84.3/mt ($13.6/mt), RMB 117.8/mt ($19/mt), RMB 102.8/mt ($16.6/mt) and RMB 30/mt ($4.8/mt), decreasing by 5.2 percent, 4.0 percent, 3.8 percent, 4.9 percent, 3.1 percent and 1.2 percent compared to prices in late June (June 21-30), as announced by China’s National Bureau of Statistics on July 14.
