Arvedi and Mercedes-Benz AG ink deal for supply of green steel

The Italian steel producer Arvedi and German automaker Mercedes-Benz AG signed an agreement for the supply of Arvzero, Arvedi’s green steel, on Friday, June 30.

Arvzero is an innovative carbon-neutral steel produced using 80 percent of recycled scrap and 100 percent of energy from renewable sources.  

According to local media reports, the president of Finarvedi, Giovanni Arvedi, said that the collaboration with Mercedes Benz is an international recognition of the company’s commitment to technological innovation for sustainable steel production.
