Argentina’s steel production up in July from previous month and year

According to the Argentina's Chamber of Steel, Argentina's crude steel production in July totaled 461,500 tons, 10.8 percent higher than in June (416,500 tons) and 34.2 percent higher than July 2013 (344,000 tons).

Cumulative production for the first seven months of the year reached 2.8 million tons, 6.9 percent lower than the same period last year (3.07 million tons).

The total production of hot-rolled steel in July 2012 reached 351,600 tons, 19.6 percent lower than in June 2013 (437,200 tons) and 29.6 percent lower than in July 2012 (499,500 tons).

The production of cold rolled flat products in July 2013 was 119,200 tons, which was 2.3 percent lower than in June (122,000 tons) and 8.7 percent lower than July 2012 (130,600 tons).
