Argentina’s crude steel production drops in June

Crude steel production in Argentina totaled 416,500 tons in June, 7.2 percent lower than the previous month (448,700 tons) and 7.7 percent lower than in June 2012.

According to the report from the Argentina Chamber of Steel, production of hot rolled finished products was of 437,200 tons, 2.8 percent lower than the previous month (449,900 tons) and 4.7 percent lower than in June 2012 (458,900 tons).

The cumulative production of rolled products in the first half of 2013 was 2.539 million tons 2.2 percent higher than the same period last year.
