ArcelorMittal Kryviy Rih to pay dividends for the first time since 2007

ArcelorMittal Kryviy Rih will pay dividends to shareholders for the first time since 2007, according to the extraordinary meeting of shareholders on October 10. The total amount of dividends will be UAH 10.845 billion ($442 million) or UAH 2.81 ($0.11) per ordinary share.

Over the previous eleven years, ArcelorMittal have been allocating additional funds for modernization. But the current dividend payment will not affect the implementation of the investment program, according to the producer’s release. In the next 5 years, $1.8 billion will be invested in the development of production. About $300-350 million will be spent for construction of the pelletizing plant, which will help to replace two old sintering machines and cut emissions.
