ArcelorMittal Bremen to shut down BFs Nos. 2 and 3 for maintenance

Germany-based ArcelorMittal Bremen, a subsidiary of Luxembourg-based steelmaker ArcelorMittal, has announced that it will shut down its blast furnaces Nos. 2 and 3, and its sinter plant for repair and maintenance works that cannot be carried out during ongoing production.

The blast furnace No. 2 will be shut down on October 1 for approximately 30 days and furnace No. 3 will be restarted from October 9 following a shutdown of five days. The sintering plant will be reopened on October 1.
