On August 6, Henan Province-based Anyang Iron and Steel Co., Ltd produced its first lot of SAE1006 grade concast slabs, totaling 460 metric tons, at its No. 2 rolling mill - the first time for the producer to develop this product.

Anyang Steel has developed the slab in question with the aim of expanding to the overseas markets. The produced SAE1006 grade concast slabs are made from low carbon and low silicon steel and, as they are destined for export, the slabs fulfill very strict content requirements as regards phosphorus and sulfur.
