American Steel Coalition signs petition for S201

According to latest news from the industry, a petition by the members of the American Steel Coalition (ASC) is signed, requesting US President Bush not to cancel the safeguard measures earlier than scheduled, following the midterm report released by the International Trade Commission (ITC). The petition was signed by more than 600 steel industry representatives at the end of last week, insisting on the steel safeguard measures to continue for the full three year schedule. The petition is received by the Department of Commerce.
