20 Chinese steelmakers eclipse 100’000 tons exports

China Iron & Steel Association (CISA) announced that twenty domestic steelmakers each exported at least 100'000 tons of steel products during the January-August 2005 period. Baosteel led the way with exports of 1.51 million tons. Anshan Steel joined Baosteel in eclipsing the one million ton mark with 1.25 million tons. Wuhan Steel was third with 700'000 tons, followed by Valin Steel (560'000 tons) and Shougang Steel (540'000 tons). Other steelmakers with 100'000 tons or more worth of exports include:

9)  Laiwu Steel         280'000 tons
10) Benxi Steel         260'000 tons
11) Baotou Steel        240'000 tons

13) Jinan Steel         230'000 tons
14) Nanjin Steel        190'000 tons
15) Xingchen Steel      180'000 tons
16) Tianjin Pipe        170'000 tons
17) Panzhihua Steel     130'000 tons
18) Tangshan Steel      110'000 tons 
19) Xingtai Steel       110'000 tons 
20) Shi Jiazhuang Steel 100'000 tons
