US tube mills announce $10 cwt. increase on A53 standard pipe

US domestic tube mills today announced they’ll be raising prices on A53 Grade A standard pipe by $10 cwt. ($220/mt or $200/nt).  Prior to the announcement, spot market prices were trending at $118 cwt. ($2,601/mt or $2,360/nt), FOB mill.

Sources close to SteelOrbis say they fully expect today’s increase will take hold.
