Movers and shakers within the US domestic and import API-X42 electric resistance weld (ERW) line pipe markets say things have, for the most part, trended sideways since our last report a week ago, although many are still convinced a trade case may be imminent. The latest speculation is that the filing may be delayed until the close of Q3, after US mills publish the most up-to-date financial statements.

In terms of prices, futures offers from Taiwanese and Korean producers continue to hold at approximately $40.00-$41.00 cwt. ($882-$904/mt or $800-$820/nt) DDP loaded truck US Gulf coast ports, while futures prices from Indian and Vietnamese mills continue to hold at $38.50-$39.50 cwt. ($849-$871/mt or $770-$790/nt) DDP loaded truck US Gulf coast ports.  Prices in the US domestic market are also unwavered, still coming in at approximately $51.00-$52.00 cwt. ($1,124-$1,146/mt or $1,020-$1,040/nt) ex-Midwest mill, although sources close to SteelOrbis say deals below that range continue to be available on larger orders.
