Little, if anything has changed within the US domestic line pipe market in the past seven days, as sources close to SteelOrbis have indicated that pricing and overall order activity have remained steady.

As such, the most commonly reported spot market price transaction range for US domestic API X-52 line pipe is still holding in the range of $64-$67 cwt. ($1,411-$1,477/mt or $1,280-$1,340/nt), ex-mill, while import pricing from Mexico for that same product is being heard at approximately $65 cwt. ($1,433/mt or $1,300/nt), FOB Texas, which includes the Section 232 tariff.

As with last week, service center pricing for in-stock line pipe is increasingly flexible, as sales managers are looking to thing inventories as a means of mitigating the year-end inventory tax in some US regions.
