Demand has remained moderate while discounts have been off the table in the Turkish welded pipe market since last week. "Now prices are increasing for hot rolled coils (HRC) in Turkey. Generally, pipe products have been sold until the beginning of September production and mills have to follow the price trend in HRC. Discounts are now not possible anymore and prices are expected to increase soon," a pipe producer told SteelOrbis. Currently, local offers are at $480-510/mt ex-works, stable over the past week.

On the export side, prices are also stable at $470-490/mt FOB and demand has remained low. Sales have continued to be in small quantities and mainly to Balkan countries.

** Prices are given for ERW pipes and hollow sections with 2-4 mm wall thickness made from HRC of S235 grade as per EN 10219, on theoretical weight basis.
