Local Chinese seamless pipe prices have been mostly stable in the past week, though with slight reductions seen too, with prices generally supported by billet prices which have only fluctuated slightly. Overall trading activity has been weak, while certain traders chose to cut their quoted prices slightly in order to close more deals. As for the week ahead, it is believed that seamless pipe prices may remain mostly stable, with some slight downticks possible.
Local Chinese welded pipe prices have rebounded slightly during the past week, supported by small increases seen in steel strip prices. Overall trading activity for welded pipes has been weak. As for the week ahead, considering the weakness of the demand side, it is believed that welded pipe prices may just indicate minor fluctuations.
