The support from the cost side is getting weak but low supply volumes have continued to support seamless pipe prices. As for the week ahead, it is believed that seamless pipe prices may continue to indicate a mostly stable trend.
Local Chinese welded pipe prices have moved down slightly during the past week. Overall trading activity has stayed at a low level due to the ongoing off-season for business. Prices of steel strip and other raw materials have softened by small margins, causing welded pipe prices to follow suit. As for the week ahead, it is believed that welded pipe prices may just fluctuate slightly.
