The local Chinese steel pipe market has mostly followed a stable trend during the past week.

Chinese domestic seamless pipe prices have moved sideways in the past seven days. Overall trading activity has been very slack due to the approach of the Chinese New Year holiday. Traders are mostly in a holiday mood and are focusing on completing any outstanding business before the holiday. As for the week ahead, it is believed that domestic seamless pipe prices may continue their stable trend.

Chinese domestic welded pipe prices have mostly remained stable in the past week, though with some small downticks in prices seen in certain local markets. Overall trading activity has remained weak. Some traders have slightly reduced their quoted prices in order to collect more cash before the holiday. However, most downstream buyers have already started their holidays. As for the week ahead, it is believed that Chinese domestic welded pipe market prices will again follow a stable trend.
