During the past week, domestic welded pipe prices in Turkey have moved sideways, while demand in the local Turkish welded pipe market has slowed down and is currently seen to be sluggish. As Turkish welded pipe traders currently prefer to conclude stock sales, their inventory levels are expected to decline in the coming weeks, leading them to restart their restocking activities. Having already planned to increase their welded pipe prices due to the high levels of hot rolled coil (HRC) prices, Turkish welded pipe producers are expected to decide on their strategy after traders start to make their purchases. Meanwhile, demand for Turkish welded pipe in international markets is still strong and Turkish welded pipe export prices have remained stable over the past week.
Accordingly, Turkish producers’ offers for ERW pipes and hollow sections with 2-4 mm wall thickness made from hot rolled coil (HRC) of S235 grade as per EN 10219 to the domestic market have moved sideways in the range of $700-720/mt ex-works.
In the same period, Turkish producers’ export prices for ERW pipes and hollow sections with 2-4 mm wall thickness made from HRC of S235 grade as per EN 10219 have remained stable at $710-730/mt FOB.
