The CIS seamless pipe export market is bearish due to slack buying interest in the key destinations. However, most CIS seamless pipe exporters have left their offers unchanged over the past month as they wait to gain a clearer picture of the market.

Meanwhile, market players believe that export offers of seamless pipes from Russia and Ukraine may slip in the coming period amid buyers' reluctance to conclude purchases, the still uncertain raw material segment in the region, and the global downward trend.

Export prices from Ukrainian mill Interpipe for May production hot-formed seamless pipes of 42-219 mm diameter, of 10, 20 steel grades, as per GOST 8731/8732, currently vary in the range of $885-920/mt FOB, while seamless pipes made to ASTM A106 are quoted at around $905-1,080/mt FOB.

Export offers of May production seamless pipes of 60-168 mm diameter, of 10, 20 steel grades according to GOST 8731/8732 or ASTM A106 from Ukraine's Dnepropetrovsk Tube Works are at $900-920/mt FOB, while export prices of 42-48 mm diameter are at $930-950/mt FOB.

ChTPZ Group's export quotations for June-July production hot-formed pipes with diameter of 60.3-114.3 mm made to GOST 8731/8732 from 10, 20 steel grades or as per ASTM A106 are at $890-950/mt FOB, while pipes of 273-426 mm diameter are in the range of $1,180-1,200/mt FOB also for June-July output.

Seamless pipes with 88.9-114.3 mm diameter of grade BQS as per API 5L PSL2 from Sinarsky pipe plant (TMK Group) are quoted in the range of $1,600-1,650/mt FOB on theoretical weight basis, while the same pipes of grade X52QS are at $1,780-1,800/mt FOB.
