Ukrainian and Russian seamless pipe exporters are still facing tough market conditions and have been forced to make reductions amid no prospects of better demand in key sales outlets and the general global downtrend in prices. Over the past month, most CIS seamless pipe exporters have cut their offers by $5-20/mt. Buyers, however, prefer to delay purchases, awaiting further price cuts. It is expected that CIS seamless pipe exporters will continue to face a weak market in the coming month as demand from overseas buyers is gradually easing against the background of the decreasing price trend globally. In addition, raw material prices have been declining in the CIS, and so the seamless pipe price trend is unlikely to change in the short term.

Export prices from Ukrainian mill Interpipe for June production hot-formed seamless pipes of 42-168 mm diameter, of 10, 20 steel grades, as per GOST 8731/8732, currently vary in the range of $880-900/mt FOB, while seamless pipes made to ASTM A106 are quoted at around $900-1,040/mt FOB. Export offers of 2"-6" pipes of grade B as per API 5L are at the level of $920-1,090/mt FOB.

Export offers of June production seamless pipes of 60-168 mm diameter, of 10, 20 steel grades according to GOST 8731/8732 or ASTM A106 from Ukraine's Dnepropetrovsk Tube Works are at $900-920/mt FOB, while export prices of 42-48 mm diameter are at $930-950/mt FOB. Export offers of 1" seamless pipes of grade B as per ASTM A106 are at around 1,050/mt FOB.

ChTPZ Group's export quotations for July-August production hot-formed pipes with diameter of 45-219 mm made to GOST 8731/8732 from 10, 20 steel grades or as per ASTM A106 are at $880-900/mt FOB.

Seamless pipes with 57-219 mm diameter of 10, 20 steel grades as per GOST 8731/8732 from Volzhsky Pipe Plant (TMK Group, Russia) are quoted in the range of $900-950/mt FOB.
