Atlas and Independence Tube raise HSS prices $60/nt

Atlas Tube announced late Friday that it is increasing the price on hollow structural section (HSS) products effective with all new orders received after 5:00pm CST Friday, August 19.

Pricing will increase by a minimum of:

All HSS shapes up through 12 sq (square and equivalent rectangles): $3.00 cwt. ($66/mt or $60/nt)

All HSS rounds up through 20" OD: $3.00 cwt. ($66/mt or $60/nt)

All orders currently on the books with be price protected for shipments through September 19, 2011. This increase will apply to all unconfirmed quotes and contracts.

Independence Tube announced a similar increase Friday, for all new orders received after 5:00 p.m. CST Friday, August, 19th.

The minimum price increase will be as follows:

2" SQ - 12" SQ (and corresponding rectangles): $3.00 cwt. ($66/mt or $60/nt)

All ITC50 Pipe Size & HSS Rounds up through 12.75" OD: $3.00 cwt. ($66/mt or $60/nt)

All orders currently on Independence Tube's books will be price protected for shipments through September 19, 2011. This increase will apply to all unconfirmed quotes and contracts.
