The most commonly reported ex-mill spot price range for US domestic API X-42 line pipe has softened by an additional $2.00 cwt. ($44/mt or $40/nt) in the past seven days, as previously heard deals for larger orders have become commonplace in the market.  Today, the most commonly reported spot price has settled to the approximate range of $51.00-$52.00 cwt. ($1,124-$1,146/mt or $1,020-$1,040/nt).  Lead times remain short, according to industry insiders, and continue to trend at approximately three to four weeks, and buyers are only placing orders as-needed and have little to no interest in making large stock buys.

Meanwhile, offshore prices for import API X-42 from Vietnam and Taiwan have held steady in the past week, in the approximate range of 38.50-$39.50 cwt. ($849-$871/mt or $770-$790/nt) DDP loaded truck US Gulf coast ports.   Trader sources continue to report that deals for as much as $1.50 cwt. ($33/mt or $30/nt) below that range can be negotiated on larger orders, but those types of bookings are few and far between.
