Weak international demand for ex-CIS pig iron

Demand for ex-CIS pig iron in the international markets has been at low levels over the past week, while offers from the CIS region to export markets have declined by $5/mt week on week to $340-360/mt FOB. In the given period, buyers have postponed their purchases as they prefer to monitor the markets instead. Ex-CIS pig iron offers to the US and Italy have decreased by $5/mt week on week to $365-375/mt CFR, while no new offer from the CIS region to Turkey has been heard over the past week.
