Turkish mills’ scrap procurement prices remain unchanged

Friday, 18 July 2025 17:35:48 (GMT+3)   |   Istanbul

Turkey’s domestic scrap procurement prices have remained unchanged over the past two weeks in lira basis. Due to the Turkish lira depreciating against the US dollar over this time, dollar-based quotations have declined accordingly. As Turkey’s deep sea scrap prices are not showing any big changes, local scrap quotations are also expected to remain stable for now.

As a result, the general range in the local Turkish scrap market for the benchmark DKP grade scrap is still in the range of TRY 12,400-13,700/mt. Due to the fluctuations observed in the exchange rate, the dollar-based quotations have moved down from $311-344/mt to $307-339/mt.
