Turkey’s ship scrap prices rise further on upper end

Since SteelOrbis’ report published yesterday, February 16, two Turkish mills have increased their ship scrap procurement prices by $4-5/mt, while the other mills have kept their prices stable. The general scrap purchase price range of local steel producers is now at $465-505/mt, indicating a $4/mt rise on the upper end of the price range.

In Turkey's Izmir region, the ship scrap purchase prices of local steelmakers are as follows:
