Scrap purchase tender closed without transaction in Turkey’s Iskenderun region

According to market sources, a producer in Turkey's Iskenderun region has closed the scrap purchase tender it had opened on February 9 without concluding any transactions as offers received were considered to be on the high side. It has been heard that within scope of the tender ex-Baltic and ex-UK offers for HMS I/II 80:20 scrap were in the range of $242-245/mt CFR, while ex-US offers for the same product were at $250/mt CFR.
