On February 13, SteelOrbis reported that scrap import offer prices from the UK and EU to Bangladesh reportedly increased to $355-360/mt CFR for containerized shredded scrap and $345-350/mt CFR for containerized HMS I/II 80:20. Slightly lower offer prices were reportedly available from other regions such as the Middle East and Africa.

Sources inform SteelOrbis that with the downtrend in scrap buying prices by Turkish mills, offers to other regions have also softened. Scrap import offer prices from the UK and EU to Bangladesh are now reportedly at $347-352/mt CFR for containerized shredded scrap while at $338-342/mt CFR for containerized HMS I/II 80:20. Shredded prices decreased $8/mt while HMS I/II 80:20 decreased $7/mt from the bottom of the previous range and $8/mt from the top of the same range. A source noted limited interest by buyers as slightly lower prices are expected before the end of the month.
