On May 2, SteelOrbis reported containerized shredded scrap import offer prices from the UK and EU to Bangladesh at $345-350/mt CFR, while containerized HMS I/II 80:20 scrap offers were reportedly at $335-340/mt CFR.

Sources inform SteelOrbis that both offer ranges have declined in correlation with the downward global price movement. The decline is attributed to improved inventories per seasonality from countries that usually experience extreme weather conditions and changes in scrapyard feedstock in winter as well as limited import trades. Containerized shredded scrap import offers from the UK and EU are now reportedly at $335-340/mt CFR, while containerized HMS I/II 80:20 is reportedly at $325-330/mt CFR. Prices declined $10/mt from both the bottom and top of the respective previous ranges for both grades.
