Met coke offers to India trend down

On December 27, SteelOrbis reported Chinese import met coke (64-65 percent CSR) offers to India reportedly at $379-380/mt CFR India or approximately $363-364/mt FOB China with lower grade met coke reportedly at $368-369/mt CFR India or approximately $353-354/mt FOB China.

Sources now inform SteelOrbis that 64 percent CSR met coke offers have declined to $362-364/mt CFR India while 62 percent CSR met coke offers have declined to $347-349/mt CFR. The estimated FOB China price is $346-348/mt on 64 percent and $331-333/mt FOB on the lower grade.

In CFR terms, the higher grade has decreased $17/mt from the bottom of the previous range and $16/mt from the top of the same range while the lower met coke grade decreased $21/mt from the bottom of the previous range and $20/mt from the top of the same range.
