On March 6, SteelOrbis reported import met coke (64 percent CSR) offers to India up at $378-381/mt CFR India.

Sources inform SteelOrbis that coking coal prices have softened this week on surplus supplies on offer. Additionally, the expectations of the beginning of a price correction has placed buyers on an expectation of a further met coke price correction, which sources say can be a self-fulfilled prophesy as it places pressure on an already uncertain market. Offer prices from various destinations are reportedly wide at $367-375/mt CFR India. Prices have declined $11/mt from the bottom of the previous range and $6/mt from the top of the same range.
