India’s state-run steel producer, Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL) has floated a global tender for procurement of 60,000 mt of low-ash metallurgical (LAM) coke, industry sources said on Thursday, December 1.

The sources said that the last date for submission of bids has been set for December 31.

As per the conditions laid down, a seller would need to make supplies in parcels of not less than 30,000 mt each and a delivery within two months of the issuing of the letter of intent (LoI) by the buyer.

Both domestic and overseas supplies would be eligible to submit bids on condition that the seller is an established LAM coke producer owning cokeries or a LAM coke supplier having a letter of authorization from a domestic or overseas LAM coke producer.
