Pig iron offers from CIS-based producers for Italy currently stand at $300-310/mt CIF, indicating an increase of $35/mt since our last report two weeks ago.

However, the latest deals in Italy for ex-CIS pig iron were concluded at $270/mt CIF, since Italian producers consider the higher offer prices to be unattractive and generally prefer to buy busheling scrap instead of pig iron.
