Since SteelOrbis’ report published on Monday, October 25, some Turkish producers have increased their domestic scrap purchase prices by significant margins of TRY 120-300/mt, with a $13-31/mt increase in the dollar-based equivalents. The other Turkish mills that kept their prices stable in the local currency also kept their dollar-based prices stable.

As a result, the general range in the local Turkish scrap market for the benchmark DKP grade scrap has increased from TRY 4,150-4,935/mt to TRY 4,150-5,085/mt, while on US dollar basis they are standing at $434-531/mt, versus $429-510/mt, compared to October 25.
