US import wire rod market sees slightly lower prices

Although demand for import wire rod has not seen any measurable improvement over the last week, sources tell SteelOrbis that offer prices have slipped slightly, from $28.50-$29.50 cwt. ($628-$650/mt or $570-$590/nt) DDP loaded truck in US Gulf ports for wire rod from Germany last week to $28.00-$29.00 cwt. ($617-$639/mt or $560-$580/nt) DDP loaded truck in US Gulf ports.
