As per its new price list dated September 28, 2011, Turkish steel producer Kardemir opened its domestic sales for rebar and billet, revising its price levels.
Accordingly, Kardemir has opened its domestic sales for 12-22 mm diameter rebar at the level of TRY 1,331/mt ($720/mt) ex-works, excluding VAT, for 1,000 mt and above orders, with 25 percent on cash payment basis, with 25 percent each on 30-day, 60-day and 90-day deferred payment basis, and with no interest accruing due to payment deferral. According to list issued on September 14, the producer's rebar prices were TRY 1,324 on the US$1 = TRY 1.77 exchange rate.
Meanwhile, Kardemir opened its sales for S235JR grade (St37) billets of 130 mm x 130 mm x 6-12 m size at the level of $675/mt ex-works, excluding VAT, and has also opened its sales for MT III-A grade billets of the same size at the level of $680/mt ex-works, excluding VAT. Compared to the previous price list, the new billet prices have decreased by $13/mt.
