As of today, July 28, Turkish domestic rebar spot prices have remained stable in the local currency with minor changes on US dollar basis, against the backdrop of the ongoing currency fluctuations and sluggish demand, compared to Thursday, July 24. The official rebar prices in the Marmara and Izmir regions vary at $550-570/mt ex-works, including Icdas A.S.’s prices, up by $5/mt on the lower end as compared to July 24, while the workable rebar prices in these regions vary at $545-555/mt ex-works, up by $5/mt over the same period, for cash payment only.
One Iskenderun-based mill has issued its official rebar price today at TRY 27,300/mt ($561/mt) ex-works. Sources report a few re-rollers in this region are offering rebar at around TRY 27,000-27,100/mt ($555-557/mt) ex-warehouse today, for serious buyers.
