Today, June 17, Turkish domestic rebar spot prices have risen by TRY 20-50/mt, while falling by $6-9/mt on US dollar basis, amid currency fluctuations and silence on the demand side. Accordingly, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey are now at TRY 7,230-7,350/mt or $706-718/mt ex-warehouse, depending on the region.
Icdas has kept its rebar price at $730/mt ex-works at the current exchange rate. One Marmara-based mill has stopped quoting today as it will start its maintenance works next week. In addition, most suppliers in this region are offering rebar at $740-750/mt ex-works today.
Most suppliers in the Izmir region are still offering rebar at $720-730/mt ex-works today.
In the Karabuk region, Yolbulan A.S. has increased its rebar price by TRY 50/mt to TRY 7,350/mt, equal to $718/mt ex-works at the current exchange rate.
