Today, June 28, Turkish domestic rebar spot prices have remained unchanged in the local currency, while declining by $4/mt on US dollar basis, as compared to end of last week, after Icdas’s rebar price cut today, amid sluggish demand and currency fluctuations. Accordingly, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey are now at TRY 7,170-7,300/mt or $695-708/mt ex-warehouse, depending on the region.

Most Marmara-based mills are currently offering $720-730/mt ex-works today. “ A few Marmara-based suppliers have limited stocks, and so some rebar sizes are limited in the region,” one source mentioned.

In the Izmir region, a few local mills are offering official rebar prices at $720-730/mt ex-works, while additional discounts are applicable to generate sales.

In the Karabuk region, Yolbulan has opened its rebar sales at TRY 7,300/mt ($708/mt) ex-works today.

Most local traders are maintaining a wait-and-see stance in order to gain a clearer picture of the import scrap segment.

As of today, rebar offers in the Turkish spot market are as follows:
