Today, May 25, Turkish domestic rebar spot prices have moved down by TRY 70-90/mt ($11-14/mt). Accordingly, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey are now at TRY 7,200-7,250/mt or $723-728/mt ex-warehouse, depending on the region.
Most mills in the Marmara and Izmir regions have kept their rebar list sales prices at $750-760/mt ex-works. However, most buyers are refraining from new purchases due to the negative sentiment on the demand side as well as the possibility that the downturn in the Chinese market could impact sentiment further.
