Turkish merchant bar producers have kept their official domestic merchant bar prices stable over the past week, with minor changes on US dollar basis. In the Iskenderun region, one mill is offering its equal angles at TRY 21,450/mt ($609/mt) ex-works. The general sentiment on the demand side is negative ahead of Turkish Central Bank's interest rate decision due tomorrow.
Most merchant bar sellers are offering either for deliveries in late January-February or from stocks, depending on the size. A few re-rollers are also offering their HEA/HEB (550-700 mm, standard) at TRY 27,000/mt ($767/mt) ex-works, for delivery to the Osmaniye region, stable in the local currency.
