Over the past week, Turkish merchant bar producers have increased their domestic prices by TRY 50-700/mt ($1-17/mt) against the backdrop of the ongoing currency fluctuations and firm import scrap prices. One Iskenderun-based mill has issued its equal angle price at TRY 26,000/mt ($613/mt) ex-works today, December 2, up by TRY 600/mt ($15/mt) over the past week.
Most merchant bar sellers are offering either for deliveries in late December and January or from stocks, depending on the size.
Most local buyers are monitoring the import scrap price trend and purchasing their daily needs.
