Over the past week, Turkish merchant bar producers have raised their domestic prices by TRY 150-400/mt ($1-8/mt) amid the ongoing currency fluctuations and the positive sentiment in the import scrap segment. One Iskenderun-based mill has issued its equal angle price at TRY 25,400/mt ($598/mt) ex-works today, November 24.
Most merchant bar sellers are offering either for deliveries in late December-early January or from stocks, depending on the size.
Most merchant bar re-rollers have adjusted their local prices upward after a long break. Most buyers are still purchasing only in line with their daily needs.
