Today, February 2, spot prices in the Turkish domestic rebar market have decreased further by another TRY 100-150/mt ($11-17/mt). The reasons are still the same - the downturn in scrap prices and the limited demand for long products in the country. As of today, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey are at TRY 4,850-4,900/mt or $573-579/mt ex-warehouse depending on the region.
Icdas A.S. has decreased its rebar sales price by TRY 60/mt to TRY 5,140/mt ($608/mt) ex-works today. Most mills in the Marmara region are currently offering rebar at TRY 5,100-5,120/mt ($603-605/mt) ex-works, down by TRY 70-90/mt ($7-10/mt) today.
In the Samsun region, Yesilyurt A.S. has opened its rebar sales at TRY 5,150/mt ($609/mt) ex-works, down by TRY 90/mt ($9/mt) today.
In the Iskenderun region, Bastug Metallurgy has opened its rebar sales at TRY 5,100/mt ($603/mt) ex-works, down by TRY 100/mt ($11/mt) on the same day.
