Rebar and wire rod prices soften in Bulgaria

In this week's Bulgarian domestic market, producers' rebar prices have softened by about BGN 5/mt ($3/mt) on the upper end of the price range to BGN 1,010-1,015/mt ($645-648/mt) on actual weight basis for deliveries to customer, exclusive of 20 percent VAT. Booking may be concluded below this price range, depending on the location of buyer and payment terms.
 
In the meantime, welding and mesh quality wire rod prices in the Bulgarian domestic market have decreased by about BGN 5-10/mt ($3-6/mt) to BGN 1,025-1,030/mt ($654-657/mt) on actual weight basis for deliveries to customer, exluding VAT. Some transactions are reported to have been concluded below this price range.
 
Rebar and wire rod demand in Bulgaria has been maintained at the normal levels of previous weeks, while it is thought that prices will likely see an upward adjustment early next week.
