Nucor-Yamato announced late Thursday that effective with shipments as of September 14, 2012, the Raw Materials Surcharge (RMS) applicable to wide flange beam products will be $220/nt ($11.00 cwt. or $243/mt), representing a $28/nt ($1.40 cwt. or $31/mt) decrease from the September 1, 2012 surcharge.
Additionally, Nucor will increase the base price for WFB by $13/nt ($0.65 cwt. or $14/mt). The net effect of this move is that transaction prices for WFB will decrease by $15/nt ($0.75 cwt. or $17/mt).
