Nucor and Gerdau bump rebar prices up $10/nt

In a letter to customers late Friday, Nucor announced that it will increase rebar transaction prices by $10/nt ($0.50 cwt. or $11/mt) on new orders effective Monday, July 28. Order placed by the close of business on July 25 will be price protected if shipped before August 25.

On Monday, Gerdau Long Steel North America sent out an identical letter to customers, with the same ordering and shipping guidelines.
