SteelOrbis has learned that in the Bulgarian domestic market last week merchant bar prices had increased by $10-20/mt and angle prices were standing at BGN 1,150-1,160/mt ($772-779/mt) CPT, while flat bar prices were at BGN 1,200-1,210/mt ($805-812/mt) CPT. However, with the increasing demand prices have been revised upward this week and accordingly angle prices are now standing at BGN 1,180-1,190/mt ($792-799/mt) CPT, while flat bar prices are at BGN 1,280-1,260/mt ($839-846/mt) CPT. These prices are on actual weight basis and exclude 20 percent VAT.
SteelOrbis has further learned from local market sources that merchant bar demand is at the good levels, but no further price increases are anticipated in the short term.
