The Bulgarian long steel market has maintained its stability. Rebar prices in the Bulgarian domestic market have not changed as compared to last week's price level of BGN 1,030-1,040/mt ($682-689/mt) CPT on actual weight basis, exclusive of 20 percent VAT. The sideways price trend seen for some while now in the Bulgarian domestic rebar market, with support coming from stable demand, is raising the market mood and demand or prices are not expected to soften in the short term.
On the other hand, prices in the Bulgarian domestic merchant bar market were revised upwards last week amid improved demand, reaching BGN 1,180-1,190/mt ($782-788/mt) CPT for angles and BGN 1,250-1,260/mt ($828-834/mt) CPT for flat bars, both on actual weight basis and exclusive of 20 percent VAT. Similar to the rebar market, the Bulgarian merchant bar market has also maintained a stable trend in the current week. Amid firm demand, the Bulgarian merchant bar market has not witnessed any price change this week.
